We are Albert & Friends Instant Circus (A&FIC). We exist to develop the physical and creative potential of children and young people using circus and the physical arts.
Working with over 350 young people every week, our participants gain so much more than circus skills at our classes: confidence, self-belief, flexibility, team work, tolerance, spatial awareness, commitment and respect not only for themselves but for everyone around them.
We help young people, from all backgrounds and abilities to look beyond their personal circumstances: by inspiring and building confidence, we unlock their potential to meet the challenges of the modern world.
Winning your funding means we can continues to inspire young people with special needs at our Circus for Learning weekly circus workshops and community shows.
Securing your financial supportallows us to offer five terms of weekly workshops to young people with physical and learning disabilities. During the one hour session, they will be introduced to a range of circus skills, and work towards preparing acts to be showcased in community events.
By learning stilt walking, juggling, unicycling and acrobatics in a fun and supportive environment, 80 young people will build their confidence and their capacity to learn new things and take on new challenges.
