Wolverhampton FISCAL Project
We are Access to Business (on behalf of Wolverhampton Learning Platform Partnership) and we provide a wide range of training and services to support local, unemployed and disadvantaged people into training, work and self-employment.
Our Wolverhampton FISCAL (Financial Inclusion Support - Communities Accessing Learning) Project, will use the funding we receive to support unemployed local people, allowing them to improve their financial capability, learn budgeting and financial skills, and tackle debt problems. Training sessions will include Universal Credit training and will demonstrate how beneficiaries can be ‘better off in work or self-employment’.
Receiving this funding will allow us to provide financial, budgeting and debt-management workshops and training for 100 beneficiaries in total. Each beneficiary will also be given a £25 grant (£2,500 of project funding) and be required to set a budget and to arrange fundraising to increase the amount of the initial grant, before donating the proceeds to charity.
